Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Your privacy matters to us at HARTIX. This policy explains, without the usual jargon, what information we gather when you use hartix.com, why we hold it, who we share it with and the control you keep over it at all times.
I. Who We Are
HARTIX is the operator of the online shop at hartix.com and acts as the controller responsible for the personal data described here. If you have any question about how we treat your information, you can always reach us at contact@hartix.com.
II. Information We Collect
We collect the details you give us when you place an order or contact us — your name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number and the contents of your order. We also automatically receive certain technical information as you browse, such as your device type, browser, and how you move through the pages, which helps us keep the shop running smoothly. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment providers and are not stored on our own systems.
III. How We Use It
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, to keep you updated on their progress, to answer your questions, to handle returns and refunds, and — where you have agreed — to send you occasional news about products you might like. We also rely on aggregated, non-identifying data to understand what works well on the site and to improve it.
IV. Our Legal Bases
We process your data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you when you place an order, because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business, because we are required to by law (for instance for tax records), or because you have given your consent, such as for marketing emails. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
V. Sharing Your Information
We share your details only with the partners who help us fulfil your order — payment processors, delivery carriers and the logistics services that move parcels from our suppliers in Asia to your door, including the Cainiao carrier network. These partners may only use your data to carry out their task for us. We never sell your personal information to anyone.
VI. International Transfers
Because some of our fulfilment partners operate outside the UK and the European Economic Area, your information may be transferred abroad. Whenever this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place so that your data continues to enjoy a level of protection equivalent to that at home.
VII. How Long We Keep It
We hold your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or for as long as the law requires us to retain it — for example, order and invoice records are kept to meet accounting obligations. Once it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
VIII. Cookies
Like most shops online, we use cookies and similar technologies to remember your basket, keep you signed in and understand how the site is used. You can manage or refuse cookies through your browser settings, though switching some off may affect how parts of the site work.
IX. Your Rights
Under data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have inaccuracies corrected, to ask us to erase it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, simply write to contact@hartix.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
X. Keeping Your Data Safe
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. While no method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, we work hard to safeguard your data once it reaches us.
XI. Children
Our shop is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will remove it.
XII. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the law. The revised version, along with its date, will always be published here.
