Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Welcome to HARTIX. These terms set out the basis on which we sell the goods listed on our website to you. By placing an order with us you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to everything written below, so please take a moment to look through it before you buy.
I. About Us and These Terms
HARTIX operates the online shop found at hartix.com, offering a curated range of home and garden products to customers across the United Kingdom and the European Union. Throughout this document, "we", "us" and "our" refer to HARTIX, while "you" and "your" refer to the person browsing or buying from the shop. Should we ever need to revise these terms, the version published on our website at the moment you place your order is the one that applies to that purchase.
II. Defined Words
To keep things clear, a few words carry a set meaning: "Goods" means the items you order from us; "Order" means your request to buy Goods through the checkout; "Contract" means the agreement formed between you and us once we accept your Order; and "Website" means hartix.com together with any of its pages.
III. Placing Your Order
When you complete the checkout you are making an offer to buy the Goods. We will send an email acknowledging that your Order has arrived, but this acknowledgement is not yet acceptance. A binding Contract comes into being only when we send you a separate email confirming that your Goods have been dispatched. If for any reason we cannot fulfil your Order — for example because an item is unexpectedly out of stock or a pricing error has crept in — we will let you know promptly and arrange a full refund of anything already paid.
IV. Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where it applies. We take great care with our pricing, but if a genuine error means an item was listed at plainly the wrong amount, we are not obliged to supply it at that price and will contact you before going any further. Payment is taken at the time you place your Order through the secure methods offered at checkout. Ownership of the Goods passes to you once we have received payment in full and the Goods have been delivered.
Delivery timescales, carriers and shipping charges are set out in full on our Shipping & Payment page, which forms part of these terms.
V. Delivery
We will do our best to deliver within the estimated windows shown at checkout, though these are estimates rather than firm guarantees, as couriers occasionally run behind during busy spells such as a bank holiday. Once your parcel is handed to you, or to someone at your address, responsibility for it becomes yours. If nobody is home, the carrier will normally leave a card or attempt redelivery.
VI. Your Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer, you may cancel your Order and return the Goods within 14 days of receiving them, without giving any reason. Full details of how this works, along with the exceptions the law allows, live on our Cancellation Policy & Returns page. A ready-to-use model form is provided on our Withdrawal & Cancellation Form page.
VII. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
Your legal rights under consumer protection law sit alongside everything set out here and are not affected by it. If Goods arrive damaged, faulty or not as described, please get in touch and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. We may ask for a photograph or a short description to help us sort things out quickly.
VIII. Our Liability
We accept responsibility for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to meet these terms or by our negligence. We do not, however, accept liability for losses that were not foreseeable, nor for business losses, since our Goods are supplied for private and domestic use. Nothing here limits or excludes our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
IX. Intellectual Property
The text, imagery, layout and other material on the Website belong to us or to those who have licensed it to us, and are protected by copyright and other rights. You are welcome to view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not reproduce or reuse any part of the Website for commercial purposes without our written permission.
X. Your Privacy
Any personal information you share with us is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why we collect it and the rights you hold over your data.
XI. Events Beyond Our Control
We cannot be held responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, strikes, carrier disruption or other events of that kind. If such a situation arises, we will contact you as soon as we can and keep any delay to a minimum.
XII. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you habitually reside. Any dispute may be brought before the competent courts.
XIII. Getting in Touch
If anything here is unclear, or you would simply like to talk something through before ordering, drop us a line at contact@hartix.com and we will be glad to help.
